From what I watched this season i believe your evaluations are accurate. I would be shocked if Ruutu is moved in the offseason. We need another player or two like him. Thanks for bloggin for us Matt.

I say our #2 pick and Kulikov for Skinner, Faulk, and your #5 pick.

You posted this before and the answer is still the same. Faulk is not going anywhere.

I bet you say that. Might as well throw in a Staal or two while you're dreaming.

Agree with everything you said!! (even the tone and degree/ color as you expressed it) I suspect that Larose, Brent, can be easily replaced in the FA market, or by promotion from Checkers ie Blanchard, Dalpe, Welch!
Nash impressed me (shows some significant improvement) and IMO will make the team as the 3rd or 4th line center (50/50 partly dependant on who we draft, or sign as a FA) If we get Barkov in the draft he could compete for one of the center positions. Also, Welch may be in the mix, if he has a good "camp"!
Several FA forwards intrigue me, but cap space is a concern. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple trades around draft time which could free up cash for an acquisition or two (or extra draft pick)!
